How do I participate in the Virtual Event?

Click on the YouTube Live Stream button under the “Derby Day Event” tab. The program will start promptly at 5:45 p.m., with our mixologist showing us how to make a Mint Julep. This will allow everyone time to tune in to the live stream, make their drink and get comfortable as the event will start at 5:55pm!  

Tip: If possible, use two separate screens, one to watch the live stream and one to bid on auction items. For example, you can watch the YouTube Live Stream from your desktop computer or Smart TV and do your online bidding on your Smartphone or tablet.

Should I get dressed up?

That is totally up to you! You will not appear anywhere on the screen, as the show is a YouTube Live Stream. However, we will have a Ladies’ Hat Contest, so send us a picture of you wearing your hat any time before Friday, April 16th and we will share it during the event. Maybe you’ll be the one that wins the prize! Please send the hat photo to Doni at ddebolt@wayfinderfamily.org.

How do I register to bid on an auction item?

On Monday, April 26th, you can start bidding on live and silent auction items! To start bidding you'll need to:

·       Click the link: https://DerbyDay2021.ggo.bid  

·       Click the “Get Started” button on the right

·       Click the green “Create Account” button

·       Enter your email address (twice), check the “I’m not a robot” box, and click “Confirm”

·       Check your inbox for a verification email (check your junk/spam folder if you did not receive it)

·       Verify payment method, billing address, email address, and mobile number

·       Click the “Create” button to complete your account

How do I bid on auction items?

·       Search for the live and silent auction items of your choice.

·       You can bid the next increment or “Bid More” than the next increment. If you choose “Bid More” you can set your maximum bid. If your maximum bid is the highest, the system will automatically bid in your favor until you are outbid or the auction closes.

·       To “watch” a package, select the star icon on the package.

·       You will be notified by text and/or email if you are outbid at any point before the auction closes and will see an “Outbid” notice at the top of the screen.

·       To get back to the main screen, click the home button at the top.

·       To view the items you have bid on, click the menu button and select “Bids”.

If I win an online auction item, how will I receive it?

Winning bidders will be able to pick up their auction item(s) at Lilliput Families Citrus Heights office at 8391 Auburn Blvd. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please contact Doni DeBolt at ddebolt@wayfinderfamily.org or at 916-678-7254 before picking up your auction item. We can also mail the auction item at your expense, but are unable to mail outside of the U.S.
